How do I handle a return?

If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, subject to the following terms:

Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies to all returned items.
Return Shipping Label Fee: A $15 fee for the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund. Please note that return labels are valid for 10 days.

Refunds are issued at Modern Matter’s discretion. We reserve the right to decline a refund for returned products that:

Arrive damaged: Products must be returned in the same condition as received.
Are missing original packaging or protective materials: All items must include their original packaging and sufficient packing materials to prevent damage during return shipping.
Are otherwise unsellable: Any signs of use, installation, or modification will render the product ineligible for a refund.

Customized Hardware with Gemstones: These items are made-to-order and are non-returnable unless they arrive faulty.
The Archive Collection: All products in The Archive Collection are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
International Orders: Unfortunately, international orders are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
Items Passed the 30-Day Return Window: Returns are only accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items submitted for return after this window are ineligible for a refund or exchange.
Sample Purchase: Items purchased at a 75% discount as samples are final sale and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

Original Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging with adequate protective materials to prevent damage during transit.
Unused Condition: Returned items must be uninstalled, unused, and in pristine condition.
